Natalie Stawsky

Natalie Stawsky, E-RYT500, CYT

Natalie started her teaching career in Los Angeles, where she lived for almost 20 years. She has recently established herself in Southern Oregon to join the staff of Rasa Center for Yoga and Wellness.

Her wide range of trainings allows her to teach different yoga styles and levels. As a certified yoga therapist, she has a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, body structure, the mechanics of movement and the application of asanas for physical and emotional wellness. All this, plus her many years of experience as a yoga instructor, allows her to guide her students through a series of individual modifications to reach their maximum potential, using their bodies more efficiently, while avoiding the risk of injuries.

She believes that yoga should not be a pretzel competition, an ego-enhancing gymnastic, but a path to perfect health and spiritual joy, the harmonious union of mind, spirit and body. That’s why her classes are always challenging, but never an extenuating exhibition of physical prowess.

Training

Natalie’s impressive training includes her studies with many amazing teachers: Ganga White and Tracey Rich (White Lotus Foundation - certified), Max Strom, Saul David Raye, Shiva Rea and Sherry Brourman (Sacred Movement Center for Yoga and Healing - certified), Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa in Prenatal Yoga the Khalsa Way (Golden Bridge Center – prenatal certified),  Annie Buckley (Yoga for Kids, certified), Krishna Kaur (Yoga for Youth and Impact Foundation Yoga Kids), Shakta Kaur Khalsa (Radiant Child and Heart and Soul Work with Children), Larry Payne, John Friend, Erich Schiffmann, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

She is a graduate of the Yoga Therapy Program at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA), and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Yoga Alliance.

She is also a certified Reiki practitioner and Massage Therapist.

Classes

Natalie leads all her classes with a sense of ease and respect, while holding a space where students feel safe and free to explore and connect. Her classes are centered on the breath, the search for fluid movements and the spirit generating internal peace.

During her pregnancy classes, she feels it is important that future mothers connect with their growing babies by breathing consciously and keeping internal dialogues with them, knowing that their breath, mood and state of being are specially connected to their babies.

Dharma

Right from the beginning, Natalie strove for introducing yoga to minorities and people in need, working extensively in schools, community groups, hospitals and shelters. She considers that yoga is a tool for organic transformation and should be shared with everyone in the community.
