Lindsey Holy

Yoga is the answer to all my questions. It is the movement of my thoughts. It is the experience of my breath. It is the recognition of being alive. It is the celebration of freedom while in the body. It is the foreground of my background. As I move I become, as I become, I disappear. I love yoga.

TRAINING
Lindsey has spent the last four years studying and practicing a variety of yoga styles. Her passion for philosophical yoga moved her to the beautiful country of Costa Rica in 2008, where she was able to immerse herself in yogic teachings as a full time student at the Sat Yoga Institute, studying meditation extensively with the spiritual director Shunyamurti. Lindsey received her 200 hour teacher certification from Rasa School of Yoga, in Montezuma, Costa Rica, studying under Carolina Vivas and Angela Boltz in 2009. Lindsey is now a Yoga Alliance 500 ERYT (awaiting certification), which includes 20 hours continuing education in Kids Yoga ages 3-7 & age 8-18. Lindsey took a sabbatical trip to India at the beginning of 2011 to immerse herself into an Astanga Teacher Training Program with TRIBE, and touch back into the astanga yoga and astanga vinyasa yoga system. She is now incorporating the Primary Series sequence into her class structure.

CLASSES
Lindsey's teaching reflects the core values of the Krishnamacharya
lineage. In the Vinyasa style, her classes explore the pulse of breath,
its relationship to the body and the way it serves as a connection between internal awareness and outer actions. Recognizing and connecting to the subtleties of the mind, body and soul, Lindsey’s passion for the art of yoga shines through in her teaching.

DHARMA
Lindsey sees the body as an inner labyrinth to the soul. Recognizing that with each tight muscle, or steadfast mental block, there hides a trauma to be unwoven. Believing the intricate nature of yoga to be the key to unlocking these labyrinths and setting free ones self to utter bliss, her dharma is to help others open the door, without fear, but with pure love.
