Carlos A. Bracuto
Tai Chi & Chi Kung Instructor

About the instructor
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carlos follows the lineage of the late Chinese Grandmaster Liu Pai Lin. He started his yang style Tai Chi and Chi Kung instruction in 1995, and then trained in Chen style Tai Chi, traditional Tai Chi sword and broadsword, Shaolin Kung Fu and Taoist meditation.

His professional work is aimed at teaching therapeutic Chi Kung to low income adults and youth at risk through special community programs and workshops. He created the “Sit & Do the Tai Chi” method, a series of exercises especially designed for seniors and people with reduced mobility.

Prior to joining Rasa Center, he was teaching and sharing the art of Tai Chi Chuan in yoga studios, schools, community programs, professional buildings and parks in the Los Angeles area.

Classes
In his Tai Chi classes, Carlos incorporates a wide range of Chi Kung exercises to cultivate internal energy and invigorate all the major internal organs, as well as some Kung Fu-based movements to develop strength, balance and coordination.

About Tai Chi and Chi Kung

Tai Chi Chuan was created as an internal martial art, although today, millions of people around the world practice this technique for its manifold health benefits: the slow, coordinated movements harmonize the human energy system with the natural frequencies of the Earth and the rest of the universe, improving blood and energy circulation, strengthening the immune system, calming the mind and invigorating the internal organs. Chi Kung breathing and stretching exercises are also incorporated. The student will enjoy learning the challenging Tai Chi Chuan form step-by-step, in a safe, relaxing, non-judgmental environment.
