Susan is a life long student of the human experience which includes Buddhism, Psychology, Ballet, Gymnastics, Modern and Aerial Dance. She has a dedicated and consistent practice of yoga since 1999 when she began taking classes with Melissa Cooley in Ashtanga Yoga’s Primary Series. Susan has a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Vanessa Scott in Anusara Yoga from Ashland Yoga Center. Susan is a yoga teacher and a therapist and holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. She has practiced with many wonderful and inspirational teachers in Southern Oregon including Sarahjoy Marsh and Djuna Mascall.
Susan’s Yoga and Dharma approach includes loving themes of body, mind, and spirit, The Eight Limbs of Yoga, and a Tantric non-dual approach or philosophy embracing all of the human experience as perfect and beneficial. Her sequences of yoga are Vinyasa style connecting Yoga Asana or movement with the breath. She will challenge you with her grounded and uplifting style of yoga flow while encouraging rest and deep rejuvenation.
