Julie has explored movement and health her entire life. She teaches Vinyasa Flow and Gentle classes at both the Ashland and Medford studios. Her classes focus on breath-initiated movement, bringing mindfulness while exploring the union of breath and body on and off the mat. Utilizing music and the beauty and grace of movement, she will invite you to delve deeper into your body/mind awareness, as well as facilitate yoga’s benefits to relax into your entire being.
She completed the Rasa 200 hour teacher training and is mostly influenced by her many hours spent studying with Max Strom and Jamie Elmer. Her practice and teaching is based on her personal life experience which is offered with love and respect that each person is uniquely perfect.
She brings a feeling of welcoming and kindness plus an invitation of deep self-care to her teaching. Julie’s background includes over 30 years in the health care fields. She owned a health food store and is a certified nutritionist and classical homeopath. She also has many years of training in tai chi, dance, ballet and gymnastics. In addition to teaching at Rasa, she facilitates woman’s circles and individual sessions in dream exploration and family constellations. She is a certified Death Doula and coaches people to live fully while cultivating peace in their living and dying.
