Cynde Gragert, RYT, LMT
Cynde’s dedication to the practice of living yoga lends over 28 years of knowledge, experience, and understanding to her teaching. Those years have instilled a naturalness to look toward the wisdom of Yogic and Buddhist philosophy as well as Ayurvedic medicine. These Ancient teachings for Cynde have become like a heartbeat or a breath – a rhythm that steers her back onto the path, opening a deep well of truth and beauty that has guided her through many difficult times in life. Through her practice, Cynde discovers again and again the deep core of stillness, strength, and peace that resides in all of us.
Teaching yoga for Cynde has always been a blessed opportunity to practice mindfulness and loving kindness in service and support of the students. Cynde is a 500+ hour RYT crediting the many wonderful teachers who have unlocked a new way of experiencing life and embracing spirit, such as Sarah Powers, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Katerina Wen, Andre Lappa and Paul Grilley. She has completed trainings with Hanneli Frances and Vanessa Scott within the Anusara style. Cynde’s classes deeply nourish the whole being with a balanced integration of yin and yang style postures which both energize our vital forces and deeply rejuvenate our being. She creates a space for self-discovery, playful curiosity, depth and compassion developing love, peace and contentment amid the chaos and confusion of life.
Quoting Pema Chodron, “This very moment is the perfect teacher, and it’s always with us. Practicing this breaks down our habitual way of thinking and brings compassion and growing awareness – building a strong and loving heart”. Cynde reminds us of the power of being in the present moment – just being with our experience, whatever it is.
