Amanda Barron, B.S.E, E-RYT 500, LMT

Amanda has been teaching yoga to people of all walks of life since 2002. She became interested in yoga while attending high school when she discovered a yoga VHS at her local library. “I was amazed by how content everyone looked. I wanted that! My love of exploring, playing and discovering the world around me led me to yoga. While experiencing my first live class it dawned on me, that the things I have always loved such as, playful movement, curiosity and genuine joy of discovery had actually been my yoga. The practice of moving, breathing, twisting, observing and just “being” felt like home.”

Amanda completed her teacher training at Shanti Yoga, a multi-disciplinary yoga school in McCall Idaho. Graced with teachers and mentors who inspired her to dig deep and discover her true path, Amanda has studied with a multitude of inspiring teachers but finds her best teachers to be her students. “I love watching my students move and shift during their practice. It is so inspiring to see just how beautiful the whole process is. I get inspired, and find myself trying things that my students do, it’s really a fun process! Yoga provides me with the opportunity to be both a student and a teacher at the same time. I strive to learn and grow in this practice that has helped shape who I am as an individual.”

When not teaching yoga, Amanda spends her time working as a massage therapist and is also a graduate student studying Marriage and Family Counseling. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, paddle boarding, writing, and discovering new wineries.

”I love what I do, there is nothing better than being in a room full of people connected and living in the moment. I am passionate about sharing yoga, and showing people just how simple it can be to feel at home within their own bodies.”
