Aleta Adams, RYT-500


Aleta’s students say that her enthusiasm for learning is contagious! Aleta has been leading yoga classes, workshops and teacher trainings in Southern and Central Oregon since 2006. Her classes are fluid, dynamic and fun! She weaves in an emphasis on functional movement and teaches anatomy for yoga and embodied awareness as a pathway to greater self understanding, healing and empowerment. She has studied and practiced in the methods of contemporary vinyasa yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Iyengar-inspired Hatha yoga. She has pursued ongoing advanced anatomy study throught the Functional Anatomy Academy. She actively studies with her primary asana and Yoga Sutra (of Patanjali) teacher Bhavani Maki. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Registered Continuing Education Provider through the Yoga Alliance, and is a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon. She has a passion for yoga philosophy, which when integrated into our lives becomes yoga psychology and he classes are guided by the principle that the aim of yoga is to resolve self-negating and self-defeating patterns within our personal energy field ~ body and mind. She co-founded The Yoga Lab in Bend, Oregon in 2013, and now lives full time in Ashland, her home town, with her partner and son.
